PRAYER AGAINST SELF
God harden me against myself,
The coward with pathetic voice;
who craves for ease and rest and joy,
Myself, arch-traitor to myself,
My hollowest friend,
My deadliest foe,
My clog, whatever road I go.
It’s not me that they see but YOU!
I confess, I got the above from a wonderful friend of mine: Leezee Chile.
As you might have noted in life that there have been times that all that stood between you and that success, breakthrough, ‘big-time’, stardom you have so much desired and longed for, has been nothing other than you, well, not this you, the other you. The other you that is scared to take risks, scared to commit, afraid of being laughed at and mocked by the throng of mostly clueless people, the you that waits for this you to make all the wonderful plans and plots only for ‘it’ to poke serious flaws in your plan and then urges you to just give in and embrace that status quo, sounds familiar? If yes, then just grab the other you by the neck (you won’t die, I promise) and let it know who the actual boss is. Let nothing hold us back from being the most, nay, all that God wants us to be. And at the very least, let us not be our own worst enemy.
