I once read a story about a nursing mother with her child at home. You know how children can get attached to their parents in the early stages of their lives. So, this child was enjoying being wrapped in her mother’s arms in the comfort of their living room, when an unexpected sound made her jerk! Imagine how she would have reacted to the sound if her mother wasn’t there to hold her tight?

Isaiah 43:2
[2]When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

Despite the fact that this child knew she was in a place of safety from external harm. She got scared. Through your journey into becoming who God has called you to be, what He has made you as and fulfilling destiny, it’s certain that there’ll be things out there to scare you. What then makes the difference is your response to them. How have you reacted to overwhelming challenges so far?
Quite a number of us get scared of taking first steps or trying out new things that’ll make us better at the end of the day. I implore that you step out! You won’t get any closer to your goals and aspirations if you remain scared of outcomes and refuse to take steps, instead take calculated risks by choosing to rest in the arms of the Father carefully wrapped around you.
Job 8:7
[7]And though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.

If you’re going to be doing anything on your path to purpose, you have to be courageous. Gideon, Joshua, were examples of men in the scripture who took steps of faith. They didn’t see the future but they knew and chose to rest in the assurance of God’s presence with them in their respective situations.
The story about how Peter walked on water never ceases to intrigue me. How could a man trust Jesus so much to step out upon dark waters based on an instruction? Despite the presence of fear?
Matthew 14:28-29
[28]And Peter answered Him, Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.
[29]He said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and he came toward Jesus.

Have you carried creative ideas in you for years, waiting for a special time to start working on them? Or you’re more scared of starting a new thing based of what people will say rather than thinking about the lives waiting for you to rise? Don’t be caught doing any of these in this season! Muster up faith and rest in the presence of your Father wrapped round about you. It simply takes courage to step out!
Deuteronomy 31:6
[6]Be strong, courageous, and firm; fear not nor be in terror before them, for it is the Lord your God Who goes with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.
