Being Human…

Have you ever met someone who believes his or her actions can never be wrong? Or people that are really sure about what the outcomes of their decisions would be?

A toddler was playing around me a while ago and I could tell that she was an excited child. In the process of her moving about, her parent’s eyes never left her for anything.

For I know that nothing good dwells within me, that is, in my flesh. I can will what is right, but I cannot perform it. [I have the intention and urge to do what is right, but no power to carry it out.]

Romans 7:18 (AMP)

Next thing I knew, a lady called for the child’s attention, and held her hands. Then, she removed black rubber bands from the girl’s left wrist telling her they would be of danger to her sooner than later. That was all!

The girl started crying immediately after the bands were removed, despite the warning and well laid out explanation. Nothing could stop her from crying her heart out.

But I say, walk and live [habitually] in the [Holy] Spirit [responsive to and controlled and guided by the Spirit]; then you will certainly not gratify the cravings and desires of the flesh (of human nature without God).

Galatians 5:16 (AMP)

The lady had to quickly retrieve the bands from where they had been disposed and put them back on her wrist, before the crying stopped totally. This sent signals straight to my heart.

How many times do our instincts, smartness and common sense prove to us as humans that we’re on the right track? You can tell that this is true and must have happened to you. Especially with the One who created you!

Critical question now is, do you totally stop being human?

If we live by the [Holy] Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. [If by the Holy Spirit we have our life in God, let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled by the Spirit.]

Galatians 5:25 (AMP)

To live here on earth, you need the physical make-up to be considered a human being, but to have a well-nurtured relationship with God, you need to be dead to your human nature.

Your psychological, emotional, street, money and other smartness need to be dead in every sense of it. In your walk with God, don’t stop trusting that He isn’t human for a reason. Trust Him on every level.
