Sometime ago, we were on a morning evangelism raid, a friend of mine wanted to share a flier with someone, but her countenance was ‘scary’ to the guy. The guy was to refuse, she, being sensitive enough to realize what was going on, smiled, and the guy became encouraged to accept the flier.
Your outward appearance and public display say a lot about you, that’s why it is always good to maintain a cheerful countenance.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Romans 12:12 (KJV)
People won’t be free to relate with you when your looks are not welcoming. Your smile can serve to be a motivation or an encouragement. Utmostly putting up a smiling face helps one to become a shoulder for the wounded in all crises.
No matter how busy your ministry, work or personal life may get, it is important to never neglect being joyful, knowing full well that with God by your side, Joy cometh in any circumstances for God’s children.
Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, rejoice.
Philippians 4:4 (KJV)
