Never Stop!

A few years back, I was inside in a commercial cab going to my place of residence, and the taxi was practically empty except for me and one other passenger.

One thing I have noticed among the taxi drivers in the city I live in is that when they aren’t getting their desired number of passengers for where they are going, they drop passengers any where they like and start over.

I was expecting the same thing from this taxi driver, but he didn’t stop neither did he drop me for another taxi. He continued, and by the time I was about to drop from the taxi it almost filled up.

In similar manner as most taxi drivers, we Christians sometimes get discouraged by our circumstances, often wanting to just quit and start over again.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:3 (KJV)

For many, it might not be easy to forge on, and quitting sounds like a much better option. And so many keep starting over and over and over again – but just when will they get to the finish line?

We will definitely come across things that will make us quit, discourage us or weigh us down. It is for us not to allow those things to take over and make us give in to the suggestion of quitting.

Whatever it is you are doing, it is important to have a persistent and resilience spirit. You might have even quit already, but it is not too late for a change of heart, to decide to forge ahead irrespective of what might be happening.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Galatians 6:9 (KJV)

Like someone I deeply respect says: “Keep keeping on”.
