Differing Perspectives.

As individuals, we [often wrongly] believe whatever we’re doing at a particular time is the best we can do in that moment and that whatever decision (good or bad) we’re taking is the best to take.

Humanly speaking, we may see nothing wrong in exhibiting bad character “once in a while”, or indulging in things and reacting in ways we shouldn’t. The Scriptures say otherwise:

And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord: and the Lord delivered them into the hand of Midian seven years.

Juges 6:1-24 (KJV)

The above quoted scripture gives us a clear picture of 2 kinds of perspectives. And they are these; Ours, and the Lord’s.

The Israelites were recorded to have done evil in the Lord’s sight, not in their own sight. They might have seen it as the best thing to do at that moment! However, that it seems right to us doesn’t necessarily mean that it is right in God’s eyes as well.

Are you the type of person who decides to snub someone because you feel you want to teach him/her a lesson? Do you, because people did you wrong, find yourself planning how to bring them down as well? It may really sound good in your head, but have you ever stopped to consider; What is God’s perspective about this issue?

According to God’s perspective in His word, it stated; Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

Hebrews 12:14 (KJV)

As believers and heirs of God’s kingdom, we are meant to judge issues from God’s perspective. Consider God: despite the cruelty and fickleness of Man from creation till date, God still gave life (through Jesus Christ) as a saving grace unto everyone without discrimination, even though we didn’t deserve it.

Irrespective of whatever anyone does to you, right or wrong, let nothing create a fence that clouds your perspective and causes you to act in way that is “evil in the Lord’s sight”. Let it all go!!!

    1. Yeah, it’s variably good to examine our actions consistently through God’s perspective seen and based on how His saving grace (Life through Jesus Christ) was given unto everyone without discrimination, despite no one didn’t deserve it…..
As believers and heirs of God’s kingdom, we should likewise extend God’s perspective into all our reactive actions irrespective of whatever anyone have done to us.
