Earlier this year, I was in a friend’s place where we were discussing on how to make progress about something that has been dragging for quite a while.
As we discussed, one of us brought up an an incident that had happened earlier and made a conclusion about an individual. She believed in the assumption so much and settled on it.
I and another person in the group then immediately addressed her, explaining now her habit of assuming and jumping into conclusions was what was causing a majority of setbacks in the project.

So many times, we jump into conclusion too fast about someone or something. We think to ourselves “if this person is behaving this way, this must be the reason why”. Admittedly , there are times that our conclusions might be illusion, but many other times, it is usually the wrong assumption – one that might be fatal.
Everyone needs a tiny bit of trust, and even if someone has behaved like that before, it does not mean he/she will continue like that. That person you are quick to wrongly insinuate about might just be sitting down in a corner waiting for someone that believes in him/her.
Instead of assuming, why don’t we as God’s Beloved, pray first and carry out the necessary investigation? If at the end of that, you were right, good – but what if you’re not? How do we think the other party will feel when the outcome is revealed and you had harshly judged all along?
It is better to conclude rightly than assuming– better to live a long life, void of bitterness and regrets.
Ephesians 4:31-32 (KJV)
- Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Assumptions are costly. May we not buy more than we can afford. Amen

Absolutely, the cost of assumption could cause great damages that may not be repearable……… God will continually help us to think inline with His definite will for us in whatever we do.
Amen to your prayer wishes.
Thanks for reading through Sir.
