As I write this, it is stuck! 😢 The most painful part of this for me is that I got numerous warnings about it but I still went ahead. Call me ‘Coconut head’, I think I now accept, finally.
By the way, welcome to the month of March. You can see great things happening for you this season right?

[4] Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one [the only God]!
[5] You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being].”
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (AMP)
Anyways, back to my rant. I’m sure you’re wondering what I’m going on about. I’ll explain to you as long as you follow closely.
Yesterday, I was about eating and I dashed straight to the kitchen to serve my meal. Based on prior experiences, I got the memo that the beef in the soup pot wasn’t yet tender. I was consumed by the zeal to always add portions of protein to my meal, no matter how little. So, I picked up the spoon and selected the best size to accompany my adventurous meal journey.
Little did I know, the beef was waiting for me to make my chewing choice before finding its way comfortably in between my teeth. The moment I realized this, I knew I was in for a huge deal of discomfort – which took me back to a similar experience I had a week ago.
The only difference between this time and that was the unawareness involved; the beef was stuck for about three days and the pain was unbearable.
How do I explain to anyone that I got a warning and still went ahead making such a decision?
[22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deluding your own selves.
[23] For if any one is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a mirror:
James 1:22-23 (ASV)
The same thing happens when God’s children go through difficult periods they could have avoided if only they had yielded to the warnings of the Holy Spirit.
Why would you continue with a habit that’s going to ruin you every single time you indulge yourself? Or why would you choose heartbreak instead of peace by going into a friendship or relationship that’s not safe for you? Could it be an investment you’re about making whose prospect is juicy but the process is shady? What’s that one thing that keeps making you repeat patterns?
The thing is, if you continue down such paths, you eventually become ‘The Teeth-Picker’ who never listened to how the meat felt but went ahead to take a huge bite and ended up battling with pain and discomfort.
It’s a new month, and it’s time to do away with every trait that won’t allow you yield to God’s leading. Pray and ask for help to yield, trust and obey, and He will release great grace for your advancement.
Welcome to March!
