You know how great men were servants to God in the scripture, men like David, Abraham, Moses, Peter, Paul, Elijah and so many others?
Well, there were also women whose lives were sold out to God and were situated right at the center of God’s will for them. Today’s piece intends to let every woman out there know that with God, the possibilities are endless.
Shall we?

Mary
[30] The angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
[31] Listen carefully: you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you shall name Him Jesus.
[34] Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin and have no intimacy with any man?”
[38] Then Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word.” And the angel left her.”
Luke 1:30-31, 34, 38 (AMP)
Mary the mother of Jesus had a unique quality which was her obedience. Considering her situation, she must have felt troubled within her spirit and maybe even had sleepless nights after this encounter with Angel Gabriel, but her heart was steadfast to obeying God’s command. Obedience is a an internal posture of the heart.
Dear woman, you have to choose to submit your plans to God in exchange for His blueprint for you. Regardless of your present circumstance, obey.
Esther
[17] Now the king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she found favor and kindness with him more than all the [other] virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen in the place of Vashti.
[18] Then the king held a great banquet, Esther’s banquet, for all his officials and his servants; and he made a festival for the provinces and gave gifts in accordance with the resources of the king.
Esther 2:17-18 (AMP)
For the King, choosing his Queen was beyond just beauty or elegance (because Queen Vashti had all of that and more), it was more about invisible qualities like character, people relationship, amongst many others, all of which Esther possessed which was the deal breaker.
Dear woman, it’s time for you to invest in more than your physical appearance, go deeper. Take time to build your character, intellect, sense of self-identity, and intellect. These help you navigate faster your journey to God.
Dorcas
[36] Down the road a way in Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha, “Gazelle” in our language. She was well-known for doing good and helping out.
[37] During the time Peter was in the area she became sick and died. Her friends prepared her body for burial and put her in a cool room.
Acts 9:36-37 (MSG)
Dorcas was a woman whose kind heart gave her a second chance at life. She took upon herself the responsibility of catering for people in need and helping them, after death struck, the same people she helped called Peter to pray for her. This was because a number of people had felt her impact on their life and they had experienced her goodness. Dorcas’ story sums up a popular saying “It pays to be kind.”
Dear woman, no matter your financial condition, make it a priority to choose kindness over every other reason. It has its rewards and sets a track record for you.
Instead, make yourselves beautiful on the inside, in your hearts, with the enduring quality of a gentle, peaceful spirit. This type of beauty is very precious in God’s eyes.
1 Peter 3:4 (ASV)
As the world celebrates the rich gift of women on a special day like this, it’s another season to reflect on those qualities that make you unique, how to get better and how they place you at the very center of God’s will – filled with endless possibilities for you.
Happy International Women’s Day!
