What experience have you had and it was evident that the hand of God rescued you from that situation? Through my numerous sojourn, I know I have experienced God’s protection in different forms and I’m grateful. Today, we look at various people in the scripture who were under the covenant of protection.

Exodus 6:5-6
[5] Moreover I have heard the groaning of the people of Israel whom the Egyptians hold in bondage and I have remembered my covenant.
[6] Say therefore to the people of Israel, ‘I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment.
(RSV)
It took an action from the Israelites for God to step into their situation, they expressed their pain through groaning and God heard them. They were slaves in a strange land despite having a godly heritage and being descendants of a covenant, and it took God hearing them before they could experience total freedom. What situation have you been in that seems hopeless? Have you tried crying out to God to save you?
Daniel 6:22
[22] My God sent his angel and shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no wrong.
(RSV)
Daniel’s situation was that of distress, imagine getting framed up for being a righteous person by evil people and then getting locked up with Lions over the night. The thought of this alone makes me wonder how far people can go just to satisfy their evil intentions.
While in the middle of this, Daniel entrusted his life into God’s hands that no harm would come to him and that the mouths of the Lions would be closed towards him. God rescued him and ensured that the Lions mouths were shut all through the night and he went out without a scratch. Instead, the Lord overturned the death trap laid for him and his enemies were killed in the same trap because Daniel was a righteous man who was in distress. What kind of a life are you living? Is it good enough to be a saving grace in the days of trouble?
Romans 8:26-27
[26] Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words.
[27] And he who searches the hearts of men knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.
(RSV)
As a believer, you have an Intercessor who is always ready to help and support you in the days of trouble and He is the Holy Spirit. He is on a rescue mission and He never leaves God’s people stranded. Are you in a situation that’s beyond your understanding and can’t find the right words to express during prayers? Or have you been finding it difficult to pray in recent times because of the guilt of sin? Not to worry, cry out to God right now and the Holy Spirit would rescue you. Stop hesitating and use the SOS to call on the Helper today.
Psalms 121:5 & 7
[5] The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
[7] The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.
(RSV)

This is a deep insightful writeup.
I pray to live a life that will be good enough to be a saving grace in the days of trouble.
