You know how eager you get when you’re in dire need of help and right in that moment someone reaches out and promises to provide the help you need and you get all excited but also kind of anxious…okay, let me make it clearer.
This person person has promised to help you, but hasn’t specified when exactly he or she will render that help. Now, for most people, this is where the anxiety comes in.

Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?
Matthew 6:25 (AMP)
It’s usual for humans to make promises (among other things), and it is in human nature to get worried about how life is going. It’s in the way people get anxious about passing or failing their exams – sometimes, even after writing it well, or the way you get anxious about what to do next after exhausting your monthly salary (it happens to the best of us).
This was why it was addressed in Scripture, because it can be a huge struggle.
The concluding part of the above verse emphasizes on the importance of life, (i.e breath) more than the material things one might consider to be important. You see, the fact that you don’t have food on your table, [new] clothes to wear or money to spend doesn’t make you less human.
However, if you constantly find yourself worrying always about these things, here’s a cure in Scripture:
[26] Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap [the harvest] nor gather [the crops] into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?
[27] And who of you by worrying can add one hour to [the length of] his life?
Matthew 6:26-27 (AMP)
Doctors always recommend that their patients should not worry about ongoing issues in their lives. Instead, they should surround themselves with people that love them and make them happy. This means that both scripturally and scientifically, worry or anxiety is bad for you.
There are people who have lost their lives to worrying and choosing to cave into fear and thoughts that lure them into making wrong decisions.
What’s that current situation you worry about at every chance you get? It is time to let go of it and embrace the perfect cure.
But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.
Matthew 6:33 (AMP)
God’s Kingdom and righteousness should be the ultimate goal for all who worry about the issues of life. In other words, for you to move away from a lifestyle of worry and anxiety, you need to prioritize seeking the Kingdom.
When you catch yourself worrying, divert immediately to keeping your heart and mind fixed on thoughts about His kingdom. This is the perfect cure!
