Dunsin Oyekan is a Nigerian gospel music minister who is passionate about God and leading others to Him.
Absolutely Nothing was released as the twentieth song in his album ‘Kingdom Now’, released on the 3rd of November, 2019.
The song contains not so many lines but is a repetition of very powerful words. The words that stand out to me the most in the song are “All I have is what you gave me and who I am is what you made me”. Absolutely nothing without you(Jesus).

These words should be true in every serious Christian’s life. We should live our lives in complete dependence upon Christ.The song brings two powerful scriptures to mind;
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
2 Corinthians 3:5 (KJV)
Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.
Philippians 3:8 (KJV)
Most times we are tempted to take charge of our own lives, believing we can handle it ourselves or we not liking God’s idea and deciding to run things our own way. Sometimes, we even forget to involve God and rush into handling things ourselves, then take pride in whatever we think we have achieved on our own.
The purpose of this song is to tell us (or remind us, as the case may be) that Christ should be the absolute focus of our lives and not a second opinion, an afterthought, or an alternative, because we are absolutely nothing without Him.
