God is still in the business of making the believer into a choice vessel fit for His divinely ordained purpose.

There is a process that transforms us from simple adherents to veritable and profitable vessels. For the believer, this process requires patience, faithfulness and consistency.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
James 1:17 (KJV)
God only sustainably uses vessels that He has made, to be carriers of ‘the Blessing’. We can describe the Blessing as the expression of God He chooses to reveal to a generation through His work and calling in the life of a man.
Men who drop out of this process render themselves unfit to be bearers of ‘the blessing’. They are still believers, but God would be reluctant to convey himself through them. He won’t be able to advertise His possibilities through them. At least not in that state.
Being a vessel chosen and made of God is not about carrying an anointing for the space of main ministry. God intends that, beyond the pulpit, men carry Him and permeate every nook and cranny. That something of God will invade every space, everyday and not just Sunday mornings, from the altars to the pews.
One of the fundamental principles of God is that He doesn’t first give or send first, rather He makes first. Simply put, in God, making comes before sending. Growth comes before performance. Being comes before doing. The process generally precedes the performance. This is true for all that God will use to the praise of His name.
People who only want the performance part of God (or misguidedly, the praise that can sometimes come with it), and not the building part of Him will never become anything serious and sustainable.
They desire glory for the sake of it, unto the praise of their own name. Sometimes, those who want to avoid the process, tend to have minds that are fantasizing about the perceived glory and honor of those already made by God. But God can’t be mocked. His way stands sure.
If anyone attempts to take up responsibility without the attendant grace for that expression, he will soon discover that to undertake an endeavour for God without His endorsement and grace is plain carnality and an exercise in futility.
We can think of grace in this context as the enabling force that makes an individual produce that outcome that pleases God with seeming ease and efficient without which his experience will be that of pain, struggle and difficulty.
The ability to sustain being a carrier of the blessing is embedded in whether the individua submits to the making process.
Abiding in God’s word consistently is a veritable key to our perseverance in the process of making.
Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart.
Psalm 119:2 (KJV)
God’s grace is sufficient for everyone who believes in Him, His words and commandments. If we stay true to God, we will find that our lives will be transformed into dimensions according to His purpose for us.
He will make us fit for purpose. We can count on it.
