Never Mismanaged

For some time now, I have been encumbered with thoughts about some decisions I made some years ago (that I felt I shouldn’t have). I felt that if I had gone in other directions, maybe some things would have been better.

I was weighed down by this until I had a talk with someone and the person said, “God can never mismanage the life of His own children.” This cheered me up from my pity party.

I said to myself, ”I am of God, so my life can never be mismanaged and I can never be stranded.”

So often, we go through life motions feeling, “oh, I should have done this or that”. We feel so easily weighed down by decisions that we become trapped. The devil then subtly makes us feel less of who we are, questioning ourselves – the wannabe.

Of a truth, there are some decisions that, if not made carefully, can mar one’s life – but no matter how true that may be, those who are of God are in safe hands. In His safe hands, He leads, guide and gives refuge.

Why regret decisions already made when you don’t know the end of things or have a glimpse of? Are you thinking maybe if you have taken those steps in different direction, you might not be here? Or that your life might have been ‘better’?

The truth is that there is no guarantee of anything. It’s all probabilites – all an ‘if’. The only guarantee we have is in Christ, that is why HE said;

5. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6. in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight”

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

Trust in God gives assurance and confidence that in anything, God is ever present. Don’t give room to the devil, don’t allow him to weigh you down.

What is it that is making you feel like this is the end? To what extent have you given room to the devil to torment you? Don’t be burdened and never allow regret to fester rather, release it all to God;

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 (KJV)

Have this confidence; you are of God, therefore you can never be mismanaged.
