Love, Always

When assumptions fade, when we stop seeing Him as distant or unpredictable, what’s left? I’m sure you’re wondering as well.

It’s not complex; we find love.

A love that doesn’t waver, a love that’s unconditional and stays through seasons, a love that has always been there, even when we didn’t recognize it.

Long ago the Lord said to Israel: ’I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.

Jeremiah‬ ‭31‬:‭3‬ (NLT)

You know how kindness comes to you naturally and when people wonder how you can be nice just like that, you know it’s in your makeup as a person. Now, the thing about God’s love is that it’s not just something He feels, it’s who He is. It’s in His nature, at the very core of everything He does.

It’s not the kind of love that withdraws when things get complicated. Not the kind that says, “I’ll stay if…” He stays and His love is always there but let’s be honest, sometimes we find ourselves struggling to believe this truth.

Dear friends, let us continue to love one another, for love comes from God. Anyone who loves is a child of God and knows God. But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

Maybe life hasn’t been kind, and you wonder if His love is real, maybe you’ve made mistakes, and you assume He has pulled away. But here’s the truth: His love doesn’t come with an exit strategy.

Too good to be true, right? I think so too sometimes, but God gave up His only son to save a world filled with sinners. Why? Love!

For the mountains may move and the hills disappear, but even then my faithful love for you will remain. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.

So what does this mean for you? It means you don’t have to question His love for you today or any other day, you’re His own. You’re His’ because you gave Him your all, you don’t have to wonder if He’s still there, still watching, still loving you like He said He would.

When assumptions fade, love remains. And that love, steady, unshakable, and unwavering is what keeps Him near always.
