There will come a time when we find ourselves in unpleasant situations. And sometimes, it might be because of poor choices we have made, either consciously or subconsciously.

Unfortunately, many people adopt the mindset, “It’s my life, and I can live it the way I want.”
However, every action or inaction is a seed sown, and the fruits of those decisions will become apparent in due time.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:7-8 (KJV)
The biblical account of Daniel illustrates the importance of making wise choices. When Daniel purposed in his heart not to defile himself with the king’s meat and wine, he was making a decision that would distinguish him from his contemporaries.
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Daniel 1:8 (KJV)
The decisions we make every day, whether major or minor, shape the story of our lives.
As the adage goes, “Life is a script; play it well.” This emphasises the importance of making intentional decisions that align with our values and faith.
After a particularly serious case of rebellion, Joshua presented the Israelites with a decision;
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
Jesus later made a similar call;
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
John 14:6 (KJV)
Why choose death when Christ has already died in your place and paid the ultimate price for your soul?
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8 (KJV)
The call is simple and clear, for as many are get to do so; believe on Christ for only He is the way to God and to eternal life. And for those who believe; allow Him to guide every step of your life.
Following Christ is really the best decision we can make.
