Tunde was an extremely bubbly child, but his father called him a problem child.
He was always active, messing up the house and destroying home appliances for his inquisitive shenanigans.
Every time his dad was home, he would always get angry upon discovering Tunde’s latest destructive adventure.
With time, Tunde not changing and adding to his restlessness, vices stemming from youthful exuberance; Daddy Tunde could no longer stand his little boy.
His heart raged and his eyes bleed in bitter anger at the disappointment his own child had become.
Betty, on the other hand, was a light skinned beauty who didn’t actually care for beauty.
She was a dreamer, and her mother just couldn’t stand the opposites they possessed.
Betty would rather be drowned in her passion for animals than be caught up with culinary butterflies and feminine pleasures.
She wasn’t your regular girl, and her mom never ceased to let her know how different she was from herself and Bella, her twin.

Every child is unique, and it takes seeing your child beyond your dreams, biases, fantasies, expectations and aspirations to truly see them as they should be seen;
Unique creatures of God, specially shaped in His perfect image and likeness (Genesis 1:26).
When you look at your child or any child out there, what do you see? Do you see a unique being crafted in God’s image, that though similar with other humans but is absolutely different from the other humans.
Love your children uniquely not as the world teaches, and guide them into purpose their God ordained purpose, not societal standards. Childhood fantasies and childishness may make them fall into numerous errors, but this doesn’t make them evil or problematic.
Draw them close. Look beyond their flesh and seek out their spirit. Find out their true self and with tender loving care, guide them to make the best of every potential inside of them.
The world does a great job already shaming children who do not go after the her view of life. Don’t be an extra bully.
Be the warmth they need and yearn for. Train them in the way they should go in the pursuit of their uncommon dreams (Proverbs 22:6), and be sure that they would bring you nothing but joy and honour (Proverbs 10:1).
In your child is a liberator, a world changer, a city taker and a trans generational blessing. Open your eyes through God’s truth, so you can behold the wonder you birthed.
At creation God’s intentions towards them were;
“Thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you (them) a future and a hope”.
Jeremiah 29:11b (NKJV)
God didn’t make a mistake giving them to you or putting them on their unique path to purpose.
Look again and again till you can see your child beyond what it looks like on the surface.
You’ve got a treasure!
