Your Secret Superpower

When I was a child, I didn’t wish to be the strongest person in the world or being a magician. I wasn’t interested in flying or disappearing.

My one wish? To be able to read people’s minds.

I just felt that if I could understand what someone was thinking, then I could understand why they did what they did. Why they were sad, why they acted distant, why they suddenly changed.

Over time, I didn’t gain that superpower, (lol) but I did begin to see something else; that the real power isn’t in reading minds, but in owning yours.

For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)

This is because every bold step ever taken, every decision that shaped a nation or turned a life around began as a thought—a simple idea; a quiet internal conversation that no one else could hear.

Thoughts are silent tools. Their super power is in the fact that no one else can see them. However they shape how we feel, what we believe, and the direction we go.

God isn’t only watching what we say and do, He sees the things we think and dwell on, the words we replay in our minds. This is why scripture says “Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable…”

What we say aloud, and what we tell ourselves in silence — they both matter.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalm 19:14 (KJV)

As believers, we must understand that the journey to a victorious life doesn’t only begin with making big declarations.

Instead, it starts with quiet, intentional thinking from a place of faith, choosing to ponder on thoughts that agree with what God has said, and catching lies before they settle. It is feeding your mind with truth so your actions follow strength, not fear.

Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you…

Romans 12:2 (NLT)

So today, take a moment to pause and ask: What am I thinking about? What am I really meditating on?

That is where the real battle is won. That’s where direction is shaped and where transformation begins.

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

Philippians 4:8 (NLT)
