Last week, we talked about the attitude of gratitude in relation to receiving from God. Today, we will look at it in relation to others.

The beauty of receiving is not in the enormity of benevolence shown, but the attitude of gratitude given in return for love shown in kind.
You are not entitled to anyone’s benevolence. Any man who blesses you does so by the will of God and/or out of the goodness of their hearts.
You may have asked for 100 and they could only give 30 or 70. They have blessed you, and you should be grateful for the kindness shown you.
You never know who may (tearfully) be giving you their last ‘mite’, so never be that person who overlooks the kindness of others no matter how minute.
So, if out of their lack—or abundance—they give to you, then you must, with all humility, show gratitude, conveyed wrapped in honour and sincere appreciation.
As believers, we shouldn’t just be good at asking and receiving, we must also be great at giving thanks.
Be that person whose show of gratitude soothes the heart of your benefactor(s) and encourages them to continue being a blessing, not one who poisons them with the venom of ingratitude and makes them regret and refuse to continue being cheerful and liberal givers.
I know people shouldn’t make bad choices because of bad experiences or offenses because offense is a part of human life, and that we will all account for our choices before God (regardless of who influenced them);
“but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”
Matthew 18:7 (NKJV)
Dear believer, choose to be the person whose genuineness in gratitude pleases men enough to extend their benevolence to more people and to a much greater capacity.
When God influences men to bless you, He opens a door of inflow upon you. However, He will not help you hold the door still and open, it is your responsibility to do so, and gratitude is a strong wedge that keeps opened doors wide open.
So, walk in gratitude!
