In the year 2025, my deepest desire as a Christian was to grow closer to God, to walk with Him, and to live a life without blemish before Him. Although I did not fully attain this goal, I am grateful that by God’s grace I remained steadfast and did not abandon the race of faith.
Let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
This year, I learnt a very important truth about spiritual growth: that it requires intentionality and consistency.
One of the key ways we grow spiritually is by following God’s pattern for living, i.e., a Christ-like lifestyle rooted in obedience to God’s Word.
As we strive to be like Jesus, there is need for us to nourish our spirits through reading and meditating on God’s Word (and reading Christian books). Just as our bodies require food to grow and remain healthy, our spirits also need daily nourishment.
The scripture affirms this truth that; Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4 (KJV)
When we consistently feed on the Word of God, we gain deeper insight into His character, His ways, and His purpose for our lives. The Word strengthens our faith, renews our minds, and guides our daily walk, because God’s word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our paths (Psalm 119:105).
Spiritual growth is also nurtured through fellowship with other believers. God uses those relationships to refine and strengthen us, encouraging accountability and maturity in our walk with Him.
The journey may include moments of weakness, yet God remains faithful to complete the work He has begun in us.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
In all things, I remain thankful for growth, for lessons learned, and for the grace to stand firm. My prayer is to continue pressing forward, growing daily in faith, obedience, and love for God.
As wrap up the year, let us remember that the Christian walk is not a sprint but a life long race that requires perseverance, humility, and total dependence on God’s grace.
There will be seasons of strength and seasons of struggle, but our calling is to remain faithful, trusting God even when progress feels slow.
As you consider 2025, do not be discouraged by the imperfections or setbacks; God is more concerned with a willing heart than our ‘flawless’ performances.
In this new year, let us therefore stay rooted in the God’s word, steadfast in prayer, committed to fellowship, and sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
As we press on, may we continually fix our eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of our faith, being confident that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion.
And may our lives daily reflect Christ, bringing glory to God and light to the world.
Thank you for sticking with us throughout 2025. By God’s grace, we do more together next year. See you in 2026! ❤️
