Should God ever have decided to literally do the above, I think that “Abraham Stone” would have been a rather befitting (and cool, if I may add) choice of name to bequeath to such a person. The above verse is what John the Baptist told the Pharisees and scribes who came to observe him as he “prepared the way of the Lord”.
The aftermath of "The Exodus" was a genesis of something of a vicious cycle for Moses and the Israelis. Rebellion from the people of Israel. Laws. More rebellion. More laws. Until the “Laws of Moses” grew to about 600+ rules and penal codes that the people of Israel could never hope to keep, no matter how hard they tried.
