When famine ravages lands, we discover the inadequacy of force.
I wonder if there were any roman soldiers that day who looked incredulously at Jesus riding on a donkey. I wonder if any of them derided the exultant Jews as they shouted praises on a supposed king who chose to ride on a lowly animal.
And just like the Magi, this reality calls for our worship and surrender.
