Has there ever been a time when life, situations or people made you feel inadequate? In simpler terms, that ‘you are not enough’ feeling that grabs your mind whenever you are faced head-on with challenges. I know you get what I mean.

Everytime you feel this way, I dare to say that you are not ALONE. I’m not about to tell you how this happens to me but to let you know that the forerunners before us had their fair share of this feeling until the great takeover happened.
[5] Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Jeremiah 1:5-6 (KJV)
[6] Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
The prophet Jeremiah believed he was too young to be the mouthpiece of God to His people. A man who God spoke to and told things no mortal could have, still believed the inadequacy narrative. Do you believe in God but still feel you can’t do anything useful for Him?
When put side by side the importance of being sincere about how you feel, it isn’t wrong to admit your weakness. However, what this is about is to remind you that God uses even the weakest of men for His glory, so don’t allow that feeling rob you of being a kingdom partaker.
Prophet Jeremiah became a man God used mightily to warn God’s people about danger despite his fear.
[10] Come now therefore, and I will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people the children of Israel out of Egypt.
Exodus 3:10-11 (KJV)
[11] And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?
Moses was another man in the scripture that gave excuses based on his feeling of inadequacy, not knowing that he was an answer to the prayers of help the Israelites made to God. God gave him a lot of evidence but he still argued and told God to send someone else for the assignment.
Guess what? Moses eventually led the people of Isreal out of slavery, despite his genuine inadequacies!
And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.
Exodus 3:12 (KJV)
God knows and sees all of your ‘inadequacies’, weaknesses and inabilities. So when He calls you for an assignment, He knows what you would need for it and provides you with it. Dear reader, what has God called you to do? What is stopping you?
And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Deuteronomy 31:8 (KJV)
God values men that obey Him without hesitating because all He needs is a willing heart. How willing are you to obey God’s instructions? Think about it from the perspective that He who sends you would be with you on the journey.
You are not alone.

I am not alone. I’ve got God on this journey with me.
