Deep Sense

Recently, Lady A got an invite to attend a closed house event and she extended the invitation to another friend of hers; Friend B.

On getting to the venue, Friend B was stopped at the entrance, asked to provide her invitation details and she immediately called Lady A with confidence because she knew she didn’t just stumble across the event. She had a deep sense of knowledge about who she was with and eventually, she gained access.

…“the son of Enosh, the son of Seth, the son of Adam, the son of God.”

Luke‬ ‭3‬:‭38‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬)

There’s something unique about someone who has a deep sense of self-identity. It’s almost tangible because the confidence they exude is so much that it can never go unnoticed anywhere they go.

My first question is “Do you know who you are in Christ?”

The moment you find the answer to this question, it will be much easier for you to make your way through challenging life situations.

“Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths. And they were astonished at His teaching, for His word was with authority. Now in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And he cried out with a loud voice,”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭31‬-‭33‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬)

Jesus was birthed by a woman created by God for a specific purpose. When He was young, He probably might have been friends with other children in the neighborhood – and perhaps enjoyed being a child – but the moment He grew to a certain age, the dynamics changed; He knew who He was and what His assignment was.

This leads me to the second question, “Do you know what you are here for?”

There’s a quote by Myles Munroe that speaks of abuse being inevitable for something whose purpose is unknown. Now is the perfect time for you to internalize and converse with God about your purpose here on earth. This is a(nother) catalyst for that growth you have been longing for.

…“saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!””

Luke‬ ‭4‬:‭34‬ ‭(NKJV‬‬)

Our perfect example as believers is Jesus Christ. He lived a life of grace, impact, and lived in the supernatural because He knew deeply who He was while on earth. His location never hindered His purpose, neither did the persecution and hate He received by the same people He had shown nothing but love.

Lastly, “How much and for how long can you stick to your purpose?”

In these contemporary days, it is a great advantage to have answers to all the questions asked in this post today. They serve as pilots for you through both the stormy and sunny days of life. Get a deep sense of purpose today!
