I’m sure you’ve been on the side of the road where you felt there was absolutely no reason for you to be at that point at that time.
“Is there a WHY to the traffic systems all over the world? Must there be traffic? Can’t it be avoided?” You must have asked a few of these questions at least once in your lifetime.

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
Romans 8:28 (AMP)
On one of those evenings, I had to move from point K to point S and I was super tired as it had been quite a long day. While on transit, I realized traffic had gathered on the other side of the road based on an ongoing construction and in one moment, I was glad I wasn’t headed in that direction.
Fast forward to minutes later, I found that the lane I was in was now experiencing heavy traffic which made me lament about the situation and how tired I was. Then, I looked at the other side, I noticed that there wasn’t any single sign of traffic anywhere on that road. I was surprised! 😳
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
My surprise wasn’t at the fact that there was no traffic at the other side of the road, but at the time frame between the standstill and the free movement moments later. Remember the state of my heart when I wasn’t in traffic versus what it became while I eventually landed in traffic.
My emphasis with this article is how time happens to come and go by in split seconds. The world we live in was built by the Creator on processes and systems that are surrounded by change at different intervals. For every situation you find yourself stuck in at the moment, not to worry, give it time.
So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.
Joel 2:25 (NKJV)
The most important thing when it comes to understanding times and seasons is paying attention to the condition of your heart per time. It’s easy to be swayed into disbelieving all that the Lord has promised when there’s ’traffic’, no progress – but what’s speed when it’s not a part of God’s plan in that moment?
What keeps you going? What is your focus on?
Don’t move by the speed of others. Although your paths may align for a period of time, your are not on the same journey with anyone else. Learn the importance of patience in your waiting and understand your peculiar seasons, and see God will come through for you.
The key heart posture of every believer should be: What does God have for me in this season?
Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’
Ezekiel 12:28 (NKJV)
Dear believer, fix your gaze on the One who controls times and has seasons in His hands. Work with His time and you’ll arrive at your destination right on time.
Shalom!
