The Power Of Words.

One of the most challenging communication skills I’ve had to learn (personally and professionally) is how to use my words, not just to speak, but to survive, win, and grow.

Although it has been no small feat, keeping quiet or silent in some situations has helped me greatly.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

That verse is not just figurative, it’s practical.

People interpret words differently; their background, current emotions, and past wounds just filter what they hear, causing them act with response without verifying the real information.

You might have the right words, but if your timing is off, it can make you lose something important and purposeful.

I have lived it.

I once lost a client, not because I was rude or unprofessional, but because I said the right thing at the wrong time. That moment taught me something powerful; communication isn’t just about vocabulary is about discernment, emotional intelligence, and spiritual awareness.

A time to rend, and a time to sew, a time to keep silence, and a time to speak.

Ecclesiastes 3:7 (KJV)

The way people communicate unveils how some people need truth, while others need compassion, and some individuals just need silence.

Every person we meet is wired differently, and it takes wisdom to know which tone, approach, or posture to best use to relate with them.

Have you ever missed an opportunity because of misused words? Have you considered  whether you were really communicating, or just speaking?

What are you doing to grow in how you connect with others spiritually, emotionally, and relationally? How do you plan to apply the principles of good communication in your daily interactions?

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth, and a word spoken in due season, how good is it.

Proverbs 15:23 (KJV)

Words that carry weight. They can open hearts or harden them, build bridges or burn them. Let us not just speak well but let’s speak wisely.

As we grow in grace, let us reflect the heart of Christ in our words everywhere we go, with everyone we meet.

    1. Yes, the power of Word should shine through us believers, revealing the heart of Christ in our words, wherever we go and with whomever we meet.
