Ever heard of a fiery believer who slipped and fell on their backs, going back to the vomit God saved them from?
What went through your mind when you heard? Did you judge them? Did it scare you or made you more cautious?
The greatest disservice we can do to ourselves as believers is to believe we could never slip, but it’s not as impossible as it seems.
This is why as believers, we ought to take care, watch, pray and guard our salvation and sanctification jealously.

Let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
1 Corinthians 10:12 (KJV)
As long as we are on earth, we will continually face the battle of our flesh against our spirit.
The moment we begin to neglect the Secret Place and consecration to God for fleeting pleasures, we begin to loose ground in the battle against our flesh — and before we know it, we are unrecognizable.
Dear believer, you are not too spiritually matured to show up daily in God’s presence; it is oxygen to your soul.
You are not too big to be part of a church family and submit to leadership and stewardship; these are solid nutrients that strengthen your inner man, keep you in check, and keep you covered.
Don’t lead yourself into temptation or deliver yourself into evil, patiently waiting to pull you down till there is nothing left.
Take heed to nourish and nurture your spirit and soul daily.
Take heed to submit to spiritual community and authority.
Take heed to keep structures and boundaries in place to protect your heart and peace.
Stay grounded!
There is no height so great that one cannot fall from.
Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy…
Jude 1:24 (KJV)
Our only hope of sustenance and stability is in the Lord God, who is able to keep us from falling. Praise to be to Him for this boundless grace!
So stay in God, His presence, His word, and His covering.
That’s the safest you’ll ever be.
