There’s a myth that needs to be debunked and I’ll do my best to do justice to it with this post:
While I was growing up, there were conversations I heard, songs I listened to, and yes, prayer points raised that got me thinking as we crossed into the famous EMBER months.

If you share the same nationality with me, I’m sure you already have an idea of the direction I’m headed. Over here, there is a popular belief that the last four months of the year hold more tragic occurrences than the first eight months.
[1] God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1-2 (NIV)
[2] Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea
As such, when the last quarter of the year rolls around, a sudden fear grips people’s hearts and mind. Because of this, then, any negative happening is somehow linked with the arrival of the ‘EMBER months’.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Tim 1:7 (NKJV)
I watched a movie recently and the depth of God’s love for His children struck my heart again.
A baby girl was in her parents’ living room playing with lego bricks while the TV was on right in front of her. Soon, some water spilled on the floor and the plug of the standing fan came in contact with water.
[Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.
Psalm 91:4 (AMP)
The next thing I knew, the baby picked up the plug and stared at a socket for a while. Then, she started crawling towards it and soon she got to the connection point.
The moment she stretched out to connect the wet plug to the socket, the mother (who had been in the kitchen all this while) jumped in front of her right on time to carry her away and prevent a disaster.
HE WHO dwrells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand].
Psalm 91:1 (AMP)
As long as you are a born again Christian, God is your Father and He is your protector. He is your help in time of need, your refuge and strong tower in time of trouble. He would never leave you to fend for yourself.
However, the things or people you listen to, the beliefs you hold dear and your own mindset plays a huge role how you respond to this fact.
How will a Father save a child who has refused to believe in His provision of safety and somehow believes that the EMBER months are auspicious for things to go wrong for him or her?
[9] Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place,
Psalm 91:9-11 (AMP)
[10] There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.
[11] For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service].
Cast away those thoughts, imaginations and beliefs, because everything God created spells out goodness.
Remember, there’s power in your words, thoughts, imaginations and beliefs. Stay positive and keep declaring the Word daily.
Happy new month! ❤️

I love this. The right words at the right season.
