Sold-Out

Life often feels crowded; noisy, chaotic, distracting and filled with competing desires. Many are chasing fleeting pleasures such as success, power, and wealth. Like runners in a race, many are striving, but not all are running with purpose.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

These are the distractions that often pull people from one end to the other: what they feel, hear, and see. Yet in the pursuit of these things, they still feel empty.

In the midst of all these, God is calling for a people who are sold out — completely devoted to Him.

Sold out, not to the world, but to the gospel. A people whose identity is not defined by the things of the world, but who fix their gaze on what truly matters: God.

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.

This is the life of surrender, a sold-out life where Self is no longer the ruler, where Christ is the centerpiece, and will or desires are surrendered.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Living a sold-out life is not a phase or moment of life. It’s a daily decision and lifestyle.

It is a life that is focused, keeping a fixed gaze on Christ.

Apostle Paul was a man who was fully sold out to God. He faced distractions, persecutions, and rejections, yet he never turned back on his purpose. He found joy in things of God and embraced them.

Of a truth, there are pleasures in this world, things that are good and enjoyable. However, they are only temporary.

While temporal things can satisfy the immediately, they cannot sustain the things to come, the eternal life that we are to enjoy.

We look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

In a world where truth is constantly redefined and values are shifting, we are called to be steadfast, unmovable, and rooted in Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

A sold-out life might be costly, but the reward is glorious.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Do not be distracted by the noise or pleasures of the world. Rather, stay rooted, focused, and sold out to God. At the end of this journey, it’s not about was gained here but the eternal glory that awaits.

So, be sold out!
